Competence-based curricula
The content of VET programmes is laid down in curricula. A curriculum is competence-based if it is based on the knowledge, skills and competences required to execute the core tasks of an occupation.

Based on our successful experience in the Netherlands, we assist schools and companies in other countries with developing and implementing competence-based curricula and assessment. We can organise study visits to the Netherlands to learn about the Dutch system of competence-based vocational education and training; from basic operator up to Bachelor level. We support schools and companies with teaching plans, learning resources, theoretical and practical assessment tools and training programmes for trainers and assessors.

We provide support for complete education programmes for (future) operators, laboratory technicians or industrial maintenance workers, but also for specific topics such as HSE or Quality.

“The proof of the pudding is in the eating”: Our projects always contain a pilot, in which learners are trained and assessed, based on the newly developed curricula. The results of the pilot are evaluated and disseminated to other regions, or other schools and companies within a region.

See, for example, the projects in Indonesia and Surinam.
