The current economical crisis has led to the situation in which companies are unable to allocate their in-house financial resources for the development and investment in their personnel. In this context, training programs for the employees have been excluded or scaled down inside the company‟s strategies for the following period. On the other hand, we know that we have a problem with the productivity of our human resources and investment in this area is necessary.

VAPRO

In the second half of 2009 VAPRO has started co-operation with vocational schools in Indonesia. The schools provide vocational education programs for youngsters for the professions of industrial operator and laboratory technician. The schools sought co-operation with VAPRO to improve curricula, build a more structural relationship with industry and improve internship.

In the week of 22 to 27 June, six teachers from the Surinam secondary vocational school NATIN came to the Netherlands to get to know the VAPRO CGO model.
